I came across the speech involved in this track produced by myself Stu Eleventhirtyeight and Delesh Chauhan in 2008. I was in a youtube click trance when I was halted in my tracks by this speech given by Jon Michael Turner at the ‘Winter Soldier’ event hosted by Iraq Veterans Against The War. Plase take a listen and I’d welcome any comments.

Another edit I’ve done this time of Led Zeppelins – No Quarter. I did this edit for my bi weekly Tuesday night shoe or show as I like to call it when my fingers type correctly. I do this show at the magnificent http://www.purple-radio.co.uk/ I would hope in doing this little edit I don’t receive a musical purist brigade knockin down my door with their unlubricated Gibson Les Paul Guitars pointing towards my dry anus.

I did this edit of Thom Yorke from Radiohead’s Harrowdown Hill about a year and a half ago I think. Have a listen and let me know what you think. I did the visuals in the rather great Modul8 software.

If you like music thats soulful, quirky and someplace between Hip Hop and Mars, I’m reasonably sure that you’ll find something you like on the label 4 lux holland. The link will take you to their available content on Junodownload

Perusing through the new releases on Junodownload earlier today and in so doing started a morning journey to destination lost hope, my speakers indifferently spewed forth shit tunes after shit tunes then came average tune after average tune then more shit ones . A break in the audio clouds came when I happened upon an artist called Charles Trees. Charles’ big bummed off kilter beats and cut up stuttery atmospheres started pulling me down from a retail no shop. There’s something sunny, warm, nostalgic and forward looking about Charles’ music that made me put my hand into my digital wallet and fork out some not so hard earned cash. I then went on to listen to other artists from Charles’ home label Moodgadget. I have to thank Charles for both making his music and introducing me to Moodgadget.
Brooklyn and Los Angeles based Jakub Alexander and Adam E hunt set Moodgadget up in 2004 originally only distributing through BitTorrent and have since then racked up a nice sized roster of artists with a really diverse and high quality output of content .
Take a look and listen here Moodgadget@junodownloads
More info on Moodgadget artists here.

1969, fourteen year old Jerry Levitan interviews John Lennon in a hotel room. 2008 Director Josh Raskin and illustrator James Braithwaite get their heads together and make this lovely short film with the audio recording.
Nominated for the 2008 Oscars animated short film prize it didn’t win. This did, which also looks pretty damned fine.

I’m currently battling insomnia. I hate it. Ive been getting about 2 hours proper sleep a night for the past week and as a result I’ve been shit tohell panicky. I tried some deep breathing to chill me out but it was about as useful to me as it is for the above egg allergy sufferer.
There has been an absence of dream in these few hours in the land of nod. I always dream. I can recall most. For example I was dreaming a few weeks ago of a pub landlords outdoor olympics. The night before that I offered to step into cover for a boxer who couldnt make it to a world championship boxing fight against Joe Calzaghe Don King had posted on a DJ forum that cover was needed for the upcoming world title fight as Joe’s opponent could’nt make it. I was free so I sent the spiky grey crook a private message informing him I’d fill in. The rest of the dream I was consumed by thoughts that I was going to lose. Not because I havent had a proper fist fight since I was seven but the words ‘I’m a little bit fat, I’m a little bit fat’ looped around in my mind. I decided I could probably stall the world champion from knocking me out by nudging him in the chest with my right shoulder. I then woke up. Sleep and I pray to thee Don hit me with a shell ejaculated from your dream Bazooka
